Minister: Structural reforms help Russia move up in global rating
MOSCOW, Sep 28 (PRIME) -- Structural macroeconomic reforms are the reason why Russia has managed to move to the 38th position from 43rd of the Global Competitiveness Index 2017-2018 of the World Economic Forum (WEF), Economic Development Minister Maxim Oreshkin said late on Wednesday.
“The latest upward move is mainly the result of structural reforms in the macroeconomic policy, including inflation targeting, a floating ruble rate, conservative budget policy and the implementation of a new currency purchase mechanism,” he said.
